Dr. Donaldson Donates $1,393 To The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research

The Likes For Lives campaign is a pledge drive that was set up by our own Dr. Jeffrey Donaldson, a board-certified plastic surgeon. Columbus, OH, patients, prospective clients, and supporters of the practice were asked to “like” their Facebook page in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. For every “like” on the page, his practice offered to donate $1 to The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. Last year, Dr. Donaldson raised $500, rounding out his donation for 332 likes in the month of October. This year, his office collected enough “likes” to raise $1,393.

The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research was started by the Spielman family when Stefanie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. Both she and her husband, Chris Spielman, former football player for the Detroit Lions, started the foundation to increase awareness about the disease. Today, more than $8 million has been raised to support breast cancer patients and research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
