Using Nutrition & Functional Movement As Medicine

We have more control over our well-being than we often realize — and Tricia Granchi, MSN, FNP-C, wants to help patients recognize and harness this control! Mobility. Strength. Nutrition. Sleep. The choices we make daily have a profound impact on our long-term health.

“Every Aspect of Your Lifestyle Plays a Role”

Tricia takes the time to understand your background, your busy schedule, the exercises that resonate with you and the foods you like (and the ones you don’t).

She combines this with her extensive patient care experience and passion for functional strength to create a custom lifestyle plan that truly works for you — while recognizing the unique challenges women face throughout life and empowering them to take control of their health.

What She Does At The Practice

Her Education & Professional Background

Tricia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, before completing a Critical Care Fellowship at Grant/Riverside Methodist Hospital. She later earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree with honors from Otterbein University and became board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Driven by her passion for expanding patient care beyond traditional models, she pursued additional training in functional medicine and is now a Certified Member of the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM). She also remains an active member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAAPN).

Tricia Granchi Functional Medicine

“I Knew This Is Exactly What I Wanted To Do”

Tricia’s path to functional medicine was shaped by experience in both traditional healthcare and aesthetic medicine. While she greatly values the work of primary care physicians, she’s seen — firsthand — how insurance constraints can limit patient care. Tricia sought a setting where she could spend more time with patients. She even briefly performed laser hair removal, gaining a unique insight into the link between aesthetic confidence and overall health.

“I really just wanted to spend more time actively helping patients and collaborating with other experts. This opportunity was perfect. I saw the job posting and immediately wrote my cover letter that night.”

Working To Expand The Scope Of Primary Care

While she is deeply committed to the tenets of functional medicine, Tricia fully recognizes and appreciates the vital role that primary care physicians play in healthcare. She believes in bridging that care gap by complementing traditional medical care with proactive, patient-centered and science-backed therapeutic strategies.

“I started looking into functional medicine before I even knew it was called that. Just by adjusting my diet & lifestyle, I could take control over my life & health? I loved the preventative aspect of it all; we can make changes now instead of reacting to a health concern.”

Get To Know Her A Little Better

Tricia is passionate about fitness, especially CrossFit, which she has been dedicated to for over five years. Fun fact: that’s where she met her husband! Her favorite lifts involve anything that goes overhead — push press, push jerk — you name it. She’s also an early riser, getting up at 5 a.m., knocking out her workout and being ready to serve patients by 8 a.m.

Her biggest guilty pleasure? She has a serious sweet tooth. But don’t worry: she also believes that everything can be OK in moderation!
