Who Can We Help with Halo?

There are many people out there experiencing different visible aging signs, such as fine lines and uneven skin tone, but are reluctant to undergo surgical procedures. They’ve constantly wished for alternative ways to get rid of such conditions. Treatments like Halo are less costly and have fewer risks, with sustainable results, and are therefore good choices for hesitant patients.

Introducing: The Halo Laser by Sciton

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser treatment that combines non-ablative and ablative wavelengths into one treatment to reduce downtime while enhancing the results. Typically, this procedure helps patients get the results they want with little to no downtime. It was developed to help patients that are experiencing visible aging signs such as fine lines, sun damage, and uneven skin tone.

How Does Halo Work?

As noted, Halo treatment is a combination of two laser treatments: ablative and non-ablative. The ablative laser targets teeny pathways in the skin without causing damage to the area around it. Meanwhile, the non-ablative laser creates a controlled injury in the skin to trigger the production of elastin and collagen, and this helps to minimize wrinkles on the skin. This hybrid treatment targets the dermis and epidermis to help reduce the appearance of sun damage, brown spots, and enlarged pores. Unlike traditional methods, the Halo treatment only requires a few days of healing time.

What Happens After A Halo Laser Treatment?

After the treatment, the patient is usually advised to keep the skin protected at least for 24 hours. After that, they are free to engage in their day to day activities with no fears at all. The skin begins to peel after 24 hours and can be covered using makeup. If you receive a facial treatment, you will start noticing changes after two to three days, starting with a light bronzing appearance, then skin peeling. The peeling is necessary to reveal the new skin.

How Long Until I See Halo Results & How Long Will They Last?

Typically, you should expect to see the results after two to five days following the treatment. The results last for many years as long as the patient protects the skin from direct UV rays.

Why Do We Recommend Combining Halo and BBL?

We recommend combining your Halo treatment with BroadBand Light (BBL) therapy in order to maximize the benefits of your laser treatment. Halo is excellent for addressing texture and fine lines, and BBL is primarily used for treating brown spots and pigment. When we combine the BBL and Halo treatments, we find that our patients experience more than just an additive effect of the two treatments.  They often enhance the effects of each other!

These treatments are usually combined in the same treatment session, so there is no additional downtime.

Not everyone is a good candidate for this combination treatment – ask your provider if you would benefit from adding a BBL treatment to your procedure.
