Station 3:

dead hang

Why it Matters: Dead hang is a surrogate of grip strength, a key marker of physical resilience, shoulder health, and spinal decompression, and has been shown to improve with repeated training.

How Can I Improve?

Farmer's Carry

The Farmer’s Carry improves grip strength by requiring sustained, loaded holds that challenge the forearm muscles and enhance overall hand endurance. Start slow – the goal is 100% of body weight in men and 75% of body weight for women for 30-60 seconds. Keep good posture.

Dead Hang

The dead hang strengthens grip by engaging and conditioning the forearm and hand muscles through sustained bodyweight suspension. Exercise caution if you have shoulder issues.
