Most Popular Filler Injection Areas of 2025

Where Patients Received Filler Injection Treatments Most This Year

Dermal fillers have the unique ability to restore lost volume, minimize fine lines and bring balance to the face. Filler placement depends heavily on your facial structure and aesthetic goals, and in many cases, our providers redirect patients to areas that offer better, longer-lasting outcomes.

Here are the Most Common Filler Placements of 2025, based on real, anonymized inventory data from Donaldson Plastic Surgery.

Key Takeaway

Social Media Interest In “Undereye Filler” Resulted in an Increase of Cheek & Midface Filler Placement

Clinical Caveat

Filler naturally dissolves at different rates depending on a number of factors, including hydration, sun exposure, metabolism and, most importantly in this context, where it’s placed. Areas with more movement (like the lips and smile lines) often metabolize filler faster than more static zones like the cheeks or temples, which may result in more frequent touch-ups for certain areas.

Cheek Filler: The Most Popular Filler Placement of 2025

Cheek filler is one of the most versatile tools in aesthetic medicine. It helps address under-eye hollows, subtly refines the chin and restores the midface volume we naturally lose starting in our late 20s. For several years now, this area has remained the #1 placement among our patients.

Lip Injections

Lip filler is always in the conversation, but it may surprise some to learn it wasn’t our most requested area this year. Lip injections are more commonly used to enhance natural shape and symmetry than it is to treat aging-related volume loss.

At Donaldson, we take a tasteful approach to lip filler placement, with an emphasis on enhancing existing features. We like to say, “always natural, never overdone.”

Chin & Jawline Filler

Adding volume to the lower face can sound counterintuitive. However, with strategic placement, chin and jawline filler can define the profile, slim the jaw and even reduce the appearance of jowls.

In some cases, our providers will recommend starting with cheek/mid-face filler instead, as it can sometimes offer more lift and facial balance. And if stubborn chin fat is impacting results? We also use Kybella, CoolSculpting, and even liposuction to help refine this area.

Chin & Jawline Filler

Undereye / Tear Trough Filler

Despite seeing a spike in name recognition this year thanks to social media, that didn’t mean a major increase in actual undereye filler treatments. This area requires a highly specialized technique and comes with a greater chance of swelling or discomfort even under the most ideal circumstance.

Our providers use undereye filler sparingly. Most often, they redirect patients to midface filler to create the refreshed, awake appearance they’re looking for.

Smile Line Filler

Hand Rejuvenation Filler

Filler for the hands is a lesser-known option, but it’s incredibly effective for addressing age-related volume loss. It’s precise, subtle and far more effective than over-the-counter topical creams. While demand has held steady for the past several years, it remains a favorite among patients looking for quick, noticeable improvements in an area of the body that often shows our age first.

Hand Rejuvenation

Liquid Rhinoplasty & Nose Filler

Demand for nose filler has decreased. We don’t think that’s a bad thing! Patients are more educated about the limitations of liquid rhinoplasty, and they now understand that the results they want may only be achievable through surgery. While our providers have the ability to perform this treatment skillfully, we often guide patients toward surgical rhinoplasty with Dr. Michelle Sieffert to ensure long-term satisfaction and safety.
