Reimagining the Cosmetic Surgery Aesthetic

The beautiful, sophisticated design is an environmental branding triumph, but even more deserving of recognition are the people behind it. TENFOLD’s attention to detail and genuine regard for our patients translated so clearly into the design, and it is an honor to celebrate the team who worked so hard to bring the Donaldson Plastic Surgery brand to life.

Bringing The Brand to Life

From our first introduction to the team at TENFOLD, we knew our vision was in great hands. It was clear even in the very beginning stages of our brand exploration that TENFOLD would take personal stewardship of the message that Dr. Donaldson has carefully cultivated over many years and from it, create something tangibly beautiful.

TENFOLD’s award-winning design came out of their deep understanding of our identity. At the first strategy meeting, they asked our team members about our favorite childhood books in order to get a sense of the inspirations that drive us. From subsequent fact-finding missions, TENFOLD pulled personal and professional artifacts from Dr. Donaldson’s life into a wall that would introduce him to new patients. Their team even sourced books written by both his grandfather, Dr. W. Hugh Missildine and his fellowship mentor, Dr. Foad Nahai for this project.

They recognized that our patients are a large part of our identity, and highlighting this fact became an important design component. From portraits to the words of real testimonials handwritten on the walls, they found meaningful ways to spotlight our patients and bring them into the fold. 

Creating a Collaborative Experience

One of the core values of Donaldson Plastic Surgery is to really care about our work, and we saw this value mirrored in our relationship with TENFOLD. Our designer Carly really understood our entire design. Once our direction was developed, she worked to incorporate all of the design elements into the final product. Stacy, our Project Manager, also expressed a very deep level of commitment; no projects are perfect, but she headed off any issues we faced and offered innovative solutions. Ben, our Account Director, kept our timeline moving and our plans on track.

Patient's Choice Award

As awarded by Patients’ Choice and based on feedback from satisfied clients, Dr. Jeffrey Donaldson recently received the great honor and distinction of being named one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors. In the field of plastic surgery, this special recognition is a reflection of how patients felt about the quality of their care and the bedside manner with which they were approached. Other factors that are taken into account include follow-up care, appointment availability, courtesy of the office staff, and the amount of patient-doctor face time that is a part of the experience.

While many physicians often receive positive feedback from their patients, Dr. Donaldson, in his practice as a plastic surgeon, is among just 3% of the nearly 870,000 practicing doctors in the nation who have been awarded this special certification. The patients of Dr. Donaldson were very consistent in offering high praise for the personalized care that they received at his facility.

Patients’ Choice is an online resource where individuals can rate and comment on their favorite practitioners. Now, an icon that denotes the “Compassionate Doctor” distinction appears beside Dr. Donaldson’s name and listing as a plastic surgeon on the Patients’ Choice website.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 22, 2014 – Dr. Jeffrey Donaldson, owner of Donaldson Plastic Surgery in Columbus, Ohio, has been named one of Columbus Business First’s Forty Under 40 for 2014. The forty honorees were selected based on their professional achievements, service to the community, reasons for nomination, previous awards/distinctions and age – they are all under forty years old.

Out of approximately 240 nominees, these young high-achievers are recognized as Columbus’ up-and-coming community leaders. The honorees will be profiled in the May 30 issue of Business First, and a gala celebration of their accomplishments will take place on May 29 at the Hollywood Casino Columbus.

“I am pleased and humbled to be selected for this year’s Forty Under 40,” said Dr. Donaldson. “It is a privilege to be counted among this talented, accomplished group of leaders, and I look forward to celebrating with them next month. We are very fortunate to live in a city where young professionals are so productive and motivated.”

The Forty Under 40 program is the longest running program at Columbus Business First, a business journal that publishes business news from throughout the Columbus area. Its mission is to provide its reader with insightful and relevant business news both in print and online while connecting with members of the Columbus business community.
