Eyelash extensions are a great way to enhance your eyes without the mess and struggle of strip lashes or mascara. Simplify your morning routine, reinforce your self-confidence and feel glamorous when you wake up!
Our mink-free, synthetic silk lashes are available in three styles – classic, volume and hybrid. Classic lashes are a single lash extension placed to each of your natural eyelashes to create a more natural, lengthening effect. Volume lashes are the most dramatic and are created by applying a “fan” or “cluster” of lash extensions to each of your natural eyelashes. Hybrid is a combination of classic and volume
The short answer: no, not if you have an expert lash tech who knows how to preserve the integrity of your lashes with perfect isolation and weight distribution.
Just like the hair on your head, lash extensions need to be brushed carefully and regularly with a clean, dry spoolie brush.
Lash extensions and oils do not mix – this is why you should avoid touching the extensions as much as possible as the natural oils on your fingers will break down the adhesive keeping your lashes attached.
Be very careful around large amounts of heat or steam – ex. standing close to a fire or opening the hot oven face first. This will cause the lashes to lose their curl and go stick straight. Trust us it isn’t a pretty look and the only way to fix this is to safely remove and replace them!
You should not wear makeup on the upper lid where the lash extensions are placed. You can still use mascara on the bottom lash line as long as it is not waterproof mascara. You should also avoid oil-based makeup removers/products.
You should avoid water contact with the lashes for 48 hours after each new set or fill. Afterward, avoid as much water contact as possible, especially pool, lake, ocean water – any water that is not distilled water has chemicals and minerals that will weaken the lash glue adhesive and cause the lashes to fall off prematurely.
Sleeping on your back is best if possible. If you are a side or stomach sleeper, a silk pillowcase is recommended to avoid the lashes rubbing on cotton and getting pulled out. Silk pillowcases are also highly recommended for the health and integrity of your skin and hair.
We asked that you thoroughly wash your eyes with oil-free face wash or makeup remover. Do not curl your lashes. Please do not wear any eye makeup to your appointment. However, if you forget, we have remover in our medspa we can use to help best prepare your eyes for their new extensions!
