Dr. Jeffrey Donaldson believes strongly in giving back to the community. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Donaldson is renewing a commitment to cancer care and research with the 6th Annual “Likes for Lives” Campaign. For every ‘like’ received on Donaldson Plastic Surgery’s Facebook page in the month of October, Dr. Donaldson will donate $1 to the Mount Carmel Foundation’s cancer services program. This year’s donation will be put towards sponsoring the Mobile Mammography Coach. Each year the practice sets a goal of 500 likes—a goal it has consistently met and surpassed. Over the last five years, the “Likes for Lives” Campaign has donated almost $5,000 for cancer research and support to organizations like OhioHealth Bing Cancer Center and Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.

The Mount Carmel Foundation was founded in 1984 in Columbus, OH. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding mission-driven health and education programs. The Foundation’s services program offers education for patients, survivors, and family, along with risk reduction services that emphasize early identification and treatment. They also offer quality-of-life courses, like yoga and meditation, for survivors.

Dr. Donaldson and his team work with many patients who inspire their philanthropy. As a leading plastic surgeon in Ohio, Dr. Donaldson has worked closely with many breast cancer survivors in the past as they pursued reconstructive surgery; now he assists through elective cosmetic surgery.  His experience working with these courageous women drives his commitment to improve the quality of cancer research and education in the region and beyond.

To support this great cause, simply ‘like’ the Facebook page of Donaldson Plastic Surgery.
