In Spring 2012, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons released their 2011 data for cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures. According to this report, liposuction moved from the fourth most popular procedure in 2010 to the third most popular procedure in 2011 with 205,000 total cases.
